Food and Drink Providers Support Form

An Introduction (of sorts)

Thank you for your consideration to prepare and provide food for our valued guests and participants as a way of contributing and supporting this year’s grassroots organised Original Nations and Peoples (ONP) InterNātional Earth Summit!

This gathering is a continued practice of how we might acknowledge country together, to find possibilities in the spaces we create to celebrate and share the cultural diversity found within our region, as well with our friends, allies and relatives from near and far.

For many traditional and ONP the very foods we partake of are part of cultural identity, part of how we practice relationships with each other and our environment. Our invitation is for those who also recognise and celebrate cultural diversity through the foods they prepare. This gathering recognises the importance and need for emotional, mental, physical and spiritual nourishment - we ask you to join us in this expression!

So how does it work?

Please know that we do not charge each other in this effort, nor are any of us paid to do this. Ours is a humble effort to engender spaces where we can work together. As such we are not asking for a vendor's fee (nor do we see you as a ‘vendor’). Instead, our thought is that you charge what is culturally appropriate and manageable for general public at your discretion. Our ask, is that you contribute to supporting the event by providing a small percentage of your meals/food to our volunteers and invited guests that have been allocated meal and/or drink tickets. We greatly appreciate all those that contribute to make the whole

Special note that we are required to mention: As per NSW food authority, we gentle remind you, that owners of food businesses are responsible for making sure that all people who handle food or food contact surfaces in their business, and the people who supervise this work have appropriate skills and knowledge they need to handle food safely.

Last note: We are planning on 24 hour security, but please prepare to secure your site as you feel directed.
