Organisational/Philanthropic/Transformative Partnership

For all Friends, Allies and Relatives,

Thank you for your consideration to contribute, support and sponsor this year’s Original Nations and Peoples (ONP) InterNātional Earth Summit! There is a growing awareness among environmental groups for the importance of Traditional Ecological Knowledge in addressing climate change and crisis. There are, however, very few spaces where ONP are able to come together where our voices are heard as pivotal to transformative initiatives for understandings of relationship with each other and our environment.

Perhaps you are a small Original Nations and Peoples (ONP) NGO or community organisation, a big NGO, a representative of a vast support network, or simply a person of philanthropic mind, purpose and resources. You might even be parts of all of these things! Whichever may be, we can all appreciate some of the foundational ideas and purpose of this convening. 

Where many are giving focus and energy to climate changes and crisis, we expand this narrative to include ideas to acknowledge and address the also growing "social, environmental and cultural inequities”.  Another key foundational consideration is for not merely what we think about these issues, but how, not merely what we do, but how we do it - in a manner for creating spaces of possibility - working together for change. 

The support of sponsors and contributors is a truly important and crucial part of how this gathering happens! As grassroots and ONP communities we bring all our resources to bear for such events to occur. Bringing ONP from across Australia and other parts of the world and supporting our community hosts for this annual gathering is an extraordinary undertaking that incurs great expense. The sponsoring of Elders and knowledge Bearers, associated travel costs, helping us with logistical needs, each are significant to the overall.  

Where it is appropriate, we would also like to acknowledge your support on our website, social media and printed materials. It's a good thing, to show the ways we come together in mutual support of each other.  
Last, and most significantly, is our sincere and earnest invitation for you to join us in-person or Online/virtually. Consider sending others from your organisation to participate in this experiential that we like to think of as creating spaces for transformative collaboration.
